Tirias Nginx Thunderx: High Performance NGINX Content Delivery Using ThunderX (TIRIAS Research Report)

This paper describes the performance of and gives an early view into the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of an NGINX-based CDN running on Cavium ThunderX based servers. TIRIAS Research has found Cavium’s first-generation ThunderX to have roughly equivalent performance and slightly lower power consumption compared to a mainstream Intel Xeon E5 processor across many NGINX usage scenarios.
